3-Year-Old Kid Unintentionally Shot Himself

A three-year-old kid has unintentionally shot himself with a handgun he found in his dad's shop.

The little child was with his dad Manal Abdelziz in a comfort store in Laurinburg, North Carolina.

He found the firearm under the money register as his dad was placing coins into moves, police said.

"He was really working in the store at the time," Capt. Terry Parker said.

"I trust he was rolling a few coins and had taken his eyes off the tyke for one minute," he told ABC 11.

The baby was affirmed dead at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

Robeson County District Attorney's Office are as yet choosing whether to charge Mr Abdelziz. It is unlawful to have an unsecured weapon in the vicinity of a tyke.

"Father was extremely vexed as you can envision," Parker said. "Being a father myself, I can't envision what he's experiencing, and what he experienced."

Parker said his area of expertise is running the handgun and the fingerprints through the Alcohol, Firearms and Tobacco database.
